A slightly riper nose of baked plum, warm earth and a smoky wisp gives way to delicious and caressing medium weight flavors that culminate in a lingering and moderately rustic finale.  Burghound 88-91

Rich purple, the warm site of La Coutière delivers a slightly more cooked fruit on the nose. However the wine grows on the palate because there is a fresher, juicier red fruit behind, a little bit of peach, good acidity. Charles does not punch down this or the Corton to avoid firm tannins.
